After announcing their first manufacturing location and headquarters in Huntington Beach, California, TS Conductor, a company that makes next-generation transmission and distribution conductors for electricity grids, will now expand its reach into the heart of the south, in Hardeeville, South Carolina.
TS Conductor seeks to continue its efforts in Jasper County in order to “enable utilities to double or triple power capacity” for their customers while saving people money. This comes with a “modest conductor price premium” that the company says is “more than offset by time and money saved on structures for new lines and reconductoring projects.”
This process will be completed through reconductoring projects and building new transmission and distribution infrastructure, creating an essential new opportunity in the U.S. clean energy economy and manufacturing sector for the Palmetto State.
The company unveiled the news just over two months ago, on March 6, when Gov. Henry McMaster joined representatives from the company at an in-person announcement ceremony. TS Conductor will invest a whopping $134 million in the news project in the Palmetto State, for big reasons. The Palmetto State has much to offer, so TS Conductor chose to settle its roots there for its growing enterprise.
“South Carolina’s business-friendly environment, skilled workforce, and strong support made this a perfect choice for our expansion. We look forward to being a long-term partner in South Carolina’s economic growth and creating opportunities for local families and communities,” said Jason Haung, TS Conductor founder and CEO, when he announced the news.
The arrival of the exciting renewable energy manufacturer into South Carolina’s Lowcountry highlights the Palmetto State’s excellence in the advanced manufacturing industry, with the latest move building on average manufacturing growth of more than 17% over the last 10 years, according to the State Department of Commerce. TS Conductor joins other top brands in the state, such as BMW, which has an assembly plant in Spartanburg County, and Samsung, whose home appliance manufacturing plant is in Newberry County.
Meanwhile, favorable business conditions in Hardeeville and Jasper County are helping create a growing economy and population in South Carolina and the Southeast.
Conveniently located in the Savannah metropolitan area, Jasper County is the third-fastest growing county in the U.S, according to census data reported by the Post and Courier. The housing stock is also growing, exploding 8.4% from 2023 to 2024, per the Island Packet.
TS Conductor will move into Clarius Park Hardeeville at the Port of Savannah. Clarius Park is conveniently located 10 miles from the Georgia Port Authority’s Garden City Terminal, right outside of Savannah, Georgia. Garden City Terminal is home to the third-largest entry and exit port and fastest-growing container terminal in the nation, according to the Charleston Business Journal..
This master-planned industrial space is a joint venture between Clarius Partners and Peakline Real Estate Funds. TS plans to move into an existing 301,275 square-foot building for the first phase by the end of 2025 and expand by over one million square feet in future phases. According to its website, Clarius Park has 2.7 million square feet in their six buildings.

TS Conductor, which describes itself as a “pioneer in high-performance transmission and distribution conductors for electricity grids,” says it deploys up to three times the amount of electricity as traditional power lines, while cutting losses in half with breakthrough wire technology.
The company’s innovation arrives as the U.S. power grid meets new challenges, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence (AI). This state-of-the-art plant will enable us to meet growing demand from leading utilities across the Southeast and nationwide,” Haung said.
TS Conductor aims to create 462 jobs with ‘above average’ wages for the local economy. The state will invest that money back into TS Conductor. South Carolina’s Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project and awarded a $5.11 million closing fund grant to Jasper County to help with costs for site preparation and building construction.
The exciting technology is also supported, in part, by funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) via the Office and Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, which aims to “support domestic manufacturing for critical energy supply chain needs.” TS was one of fourteen advanced energy manufacturing projects chosen by the DOE.
Jasper County is also offering special credits to allow the company to buy down its property tax bill by over 60% over the next 30 years in exchange for their investment. The state also green-lighted TS Conductor for income tax credits worth up to $20,250 for each new job.
“Our patented technology helps modernize America’s power grid by providing more capacity while lowering project costs, making electricity more affordable and reliable for everyone,” Huang said.
